Sitting in Cairo Airport, 3:20 am. Waiting for my flight to Sofia, Bulgaria for the 2008 Helms' Family Reunion. A rare occasion indeed. Quite possibly the last time we were all together was in the spring of 2006 when Eric and I finished undergrad.

It has been great to be back in Cairo. A different experience each time, with new memories, new impressions and new topics I am interested in learning more about.

Assuming Alitalia does not mess up my schedule again, I should be able to tromp around Rome for a few hours as well.

I'm certainly blessed to experience and see all that I have. I have made some great friends and seen some amazing things. Strangely, I'm actually a little excited to get back to school for my summer Arabic classes.

Give our love to all the family in Bulgaria. It seems an odd place to me, Bulgaria. Who would have thought ten years ago. But, it is amazing and sounds like great fun. K and A have passed high school and graduation is Sunday. Kim is walking and Ashley is not. Nana and Papa are coming this weekend and will stay the next week to spend time with Devin and Emily as they are coming the following weekend for wedding plans and I think a shower. I think. Emily has applied to a new position with Wheaton College and the HNGR program. She is one of five finalists out of forty applications. Keep her in prayer. She will be called to next week to see if she has an final interview. Wheaton needs to move fast, so if she gets the position it will be sooner than later. She is a bit burned out on her current job, though it has been good. Much going on for all of us.
