Andrew, you may find it interesting that I finished reading "The Qur'an" this week for the second time. I read "The Bible" through the two weeks before. I would be interested in speaking with you when we see each other some time in the future. So many thoughts come to mind. Though I know that in many corners of the Islamic faith a copy of "The Qur'an" that is in English is not "The Qur'an" it is the best I can hope to do to understand. I have two different translations and the last one was sanitized somewhat compared to the first which used some more archaic if not harsh terms. One the surface I find "The Qur'an" not too different from the "Old Testament" but a radical departure from the "New Testament". It implies that the NT record is a lie, but that is not what I am refering to. I understand that. It is the tone and the character of God and how God wishes to relate to His people that is so starkly different. What is your take? I'd be interested to hear. Love, Uncle Bruster
