A unit of Qatar Foundation has signed a partnership deal to reinvigorate the Arabic content of Wikipedia, the world's largest free encyclopaedia, it was reported on Sunday.Qatar Computing Research Institute is in partnership with Wikimedia Foundation to increase the quantity and quality of online Arabic contributions, Qatar's Gulf Times said.

Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company on Sunday said it had signed a contract worth more than $543.8m for projects in Egypt. The contract with with Consolidated Contractors Company allots $464.3m to the company's Nile Corniche project in Cairo and $79.5m to its coastal resort project in Sharm El Sheikh.

Cantor Speech Canceled for Fear of Being Occupied
It could have been a match made in heaven — Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor wanted to make a speech about income inequality at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and the people from Occupy Philadelphia wanted to be there. But while both parties wanted to address the same general topic, they were on opposite sides of the political spectrum. So Cantor’s speech, in which he imagines what he would say to a “9-year-old, inner city kid scared to death, growing up in a life of poverty,” was canceled.

The United Arab Emirates plans to provide $ 3 billion in financial aid to Egypt but is still discussing the mechanism to deliver it, a senior UAE official said on Saturday. “The UAE has approved an assistance of $ 3 billion to Egypt, but the mechanism is still subject to discussion,” Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, told reporters.

Could a Russia-US rail tunnel be built? - BBC
Russian officials have backed the idea of a rail tunnel linking Russia and the US. It would run under the Bering Strait for 105km (65 miles) - twice the length of the UK-France Channel Tunnel. The tunnel itself has been estimated to cost $10-12bn and to take 10-15 years to build.
