  • "Mohamed Morsi, Egypt’s Islamist president, has issued a general pardon covering political activists jailed since last year’s revolution over clashes with the security forces. The pardon extends to individuals sentenced by military tribunals which sent several thousand Egyptians to prison since the toppling of Hosni Mubarak, the former president, in February 2011."
