Stay true to the dreams of thy youth

I've posted this image before, but I thought it was worth reposting. Kabobfest had a good piece on the rumored Palestinian unilateral declaration of independence and what effect this would actually have. Reports I have read have generally been negative, suggesting Palestine would lose all bargaining chips, still have its land stolen and end up as the Bantustans of South Africa did during the end of the Apartheid period.

The image is a depiction of what Palestine would look like, were it an island. The water signifies areas under Israeli control, and the Micronesian breakup of land, Palestinian controlled territory. The image is rather sobering.
